Mission and Programs:
Friends Of Culver City Scout House is a 501 (c) (3) corporation organized to preserve, maintain and operate the Culver City Scout House for the benefit of youth groups and other community organizations. This building has served as a meeting place for numerous scouting organizations since the early 1940s. It was moved to its current location around 1950. It is one of many local scout houses in the surrounding area. The Culver City Scout House is in need of long-term repairs. FOCCSH and the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club have entered into a 3-party lease with the City of Culver City. Renovation is expected to begin shortly. We have a special need for donations during this year of renovation. The repairs to the Scout House include the shared roof and common exterior wall of the attached Rock Club Annex – occupied by the Culver City Rock and Mineral Club, a non-profit 501 (c) (4) corporation. FOCCSH's 2009 - 2011 tax returns are posted on GuideStar.
